Kubera Jambala, also known as Jambhala or Vaishravana, is a prominent figure in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. He is considered the God of Wealth and is often revered as a protective deity and a symbol of prosperity, abundance, and generosity.
In Hinduism, Kubera is one of the Lokapalas, the guardians of the directions. He is specifically associated with the northern direction and is believed to reside in the city of Alaka (also known as Alakapuri) situated in the Himalayas. Kubera is depicted as a stout, pot-bellied, and heavily bejeweled deity, often riding a man or a yak.
In Buddhism, Jambhala is regarded as one of the Dharmapalas, the protective deities of the Dharma (Buddhist teachings). He is considered a Bodhisattva who willingly postpones his own enlightenment to assist others in their spiritual journey. As a Dharmapala, Jambhala is entrusted with safeguarding the teachings of Buddha and providing worldly aid to those in need.
Iconography and Symbols:

Wealth-giving Gesture: One of his hands is shown in the Varada Mudra, the gesture of granting boons, symbolizing his role as the bestower of wealth and prosperity.
Ratna (Jewel): He often holds a precious jewel, symbolizing his ability to grant material and spiritual wealth to his devotees.

Worship and Devotion:
Devotees of Kubera Jambala seek his blessings for material wealth, financial success, and abundance. He is also considered a protector against financial troubles, theft, and poverty. Worship of Kubera is especially prevalent among traders, merchants, and businesspeople who seek his aid in their commercial ventures.
In Hindu and Buddhist practices, Kubera is often invoked through mantras, prayers, and rituals, which are believed to attract his blessings and grace. Many temples and shrines dedicated to Kubera can be found across South Asia, where he is venerated with great devotion.
It's essential to note that Kubera's worship is more prevalent in certain regions and religious traditions, and the exact details of his depiction and significance may vary accordingly.
